How We Work
Our reasons for becoming financial professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. We are confident that with our understanding of personal finance, coupled with our training as financial professionals, we can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, we have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. Timothy Valento
Owner/President
Professional
Tim has been a Financial Advisor since 1989. He graduated from Mercyhurst College with a B.A. in Finance and Accounting. Tim became a Certified Financial Planner in 1994. He has been working with individuals and small businesses for over 35 years.
Personal Life
Tim grew up in Little Canada, MN and graduated from Hill Murray High School in 1985. He went on to play both soccer and hockey at Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA. After college, Tim moved back home to Minnesota where he later met and married his wife Julie in 1998. They have 3 children- Sara, Nick, and Jana. In his free time he enjoys pickleball, Minnesota Wild games, and especially spending time with his family at their cabin.
Mitch Pierson
LPL Registered Administrative Assistant
Professional
Mitch has been helping Tim serve their clients at the Little Canada location since
2018. Prior to that, Mitch was an accountant for five years in the healthcare
industry. He holds Series 7 & 66 securities registrations with LPL Financial, as well as insurance
licenses in life, health and variable annuities. Mitch graduated from Winona State
University in 2012 with a degree in Business Administration.
Personal Life
When Mitch is not assisting clients, you can likely find him pursuing one of his
many outdoor interests. In the winter he loves snowmobiling, ice fishing,
snowboarding & pickup hockey. When the weather is warmer you can find him
playing softball, golfing, fishing & hunting. Mitch lives in the North Metro with
his wife Kasandra & their dog Seamus.
Nick Valento

Nick graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato, where he earned a B.S. in Finance in May of 2024. Since joining the team shortly after graduation, Nick has gained valuable experience while attaining his licenses this past year. He holds the Series 7 and 66 licenses with LPL Financial. Nick can not wait to see what the future holds in his career.
Personal Life
Nick grew up in Centerville, MN and graduated from Centennial High school in 2020. He chose to attend Minnesota State University, Mankato to pursue a Finance degree. After graduating, he moved home where he enjoys golfing, fishing and spending time outdoors in his free time. Whether it's spending time with family and friends or enjoying his hobbies, he values the interests he has outside of work that enrich his life. Nick is committed to both his personal and professional growth, ready for what life throws at him.
